Since it is a little difficul to read, here is the full text of the certificate:

Certificate of Citizenship

United States of America, Territory of Utah-55

Be it remembered, that on the 11th day of October in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy-Five, James Ririe late of Scotland, in the Kingdom of Great Britian at present of Weber County in the Territory aforesaid, appeared in the Third Judicial District Court of the United States, in and for Utah Territory, and applied to the said Court to be admitted to become a Citizen of the United States of America, pursuant to the directions and requirements of the several Acts of Congress in relation thereto. And the said James Ririe, having thereupon produced tot the Court such evidence, made such declaration and renunciation, and taken such oath as are by the said Acts required; thereupon it was ordered by the said Court, that the said James Ririe be admitted, and he was accordingly admitted by the said Court to be a Citizen of the United States of America.

In testimony whereof, the Seal of the said Court is hereunto affixed, this 11th day of October in the year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy-Five, and in the year of our Independance the One Hundredth.
