Fannie
Young was
born September 8, 1859 in Sessions, Utah to Thomas
Young and Martha
Webb Campkin. She married Henry
Morgan Perry on February 24, 1881 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
They had ten children: Henry Elisha, Martha Maude, Leslie Thomas, Albert
Zabrina, Heber Morgan, Melba Elizabeth, Eunice Jane, Eurene Eliza, Velda
Annie, and
Verna Fannie.
Fannie was a schoolteacher in Mantua,
UT before marrying and starting a family. She had interests in opera,
theatre, literature and music. She left culture and relative comfort
behind around 1886 when the family moved to Rudy, Idaho to settle. She
raised eleven children including her grandson Fred.
Fannie died on May 16, 1937 and
is buried in Rigby, Idaho.
