2000 Reunion Video
By Steven Jackson
We’ve got two types of video
from the 2000 Family Reunion. First, we have a clip of each of the brothers
telling their favorite joke or story. Second, we’ve got
some video from a tour we took of the family dry farm near Ririe.
Each video clip is available in a Windows
Media format and a Real Media format. Choose your video format below.
Some of the clips are a little hard to hear, but this is classic video
that you won’t want to miss.

Telling Their Favorite Joke or Story
During the reunion, we cornered each
of the brothers and got them to tell us their favorite joke or story.
The audio is a little hard to hear, but this is still great video to
have for the family.

Tour of the Dry Farm Near Ririe
One day during the reunion, a few of
us took a tour of a dry farm near Ririe that had once belonged to the
family. David, Max, Clive, Wayne, Andrew, Spencer, Catherine Jackson,
Rob and I loaded up in Rob’s suburban and made the trip from the
girl’s camp down to Ririe.
In this first video, we are traveling
in the car on the way down to the dry farm while the brothers tell some
good stories. Unfortunately, I wasn’t recording when they told
the best story, so I’ll recall it for you here.
While driving on the dry farm down
near the Snake River, David started off by saying, “Ya know, I
actually still own a piece of this land up here,” as he pointed
up the hill. “One summer,” David explained, “I did
some extra work for Dad and as payment he gave me that stretch of land
over the ridge there.” Then Max jumped in saying, “Hey, Dad
said he’d given ME that land!” Then Wayne chimed in and said, “No,
he told me that land belonged to me!” Then Clive said, “You
fools, Dad never owned that land, it belonged to the government!” We
all started laughing. To this day, I’m not sure if this was a joke
or if Grandpa Ririe had actually promised that land to each of the boys.

In the second video, we’ve
arrived at the dry farm and are gathered around the small shack where
the brothers lived during the summer while working on the farm.
